Thyme

Called ‘mountain oregano’ as it has a similar smell, and grows wild in the hills and mountains of the southern Aegean and Mediterranean. Used in its dried form, it flavours local fish and meat dishes and is drunk in a herbal tea as an aphrodisiac.
