  • About

CULTIVATION A hardy annual with fresh, green, heart-shaped leaves and tiny white flowers borne on thin stalks above the leaf from late spring. It grows to a height of 15 cm (6in) and prefers moist, fertile soil and light shade. Sow seeds in early spring and under glass in early autumn, thinning the seedlings to 10cm (4m) apart. Harvest whenever it is in leaf. A useful garden, border, edging, container and conservatory herb.
