  • About

CULTIVATION Thyme is an evergreen perennial with small, aromatic, green or yellow, lance-shaped leaves and pink, purple or white flowers. Growing to a height of 2-30cm (Β½-12in), it prefers well-drained, alkaline soil and full sun. Propagate it by planting seeds in spring or by layering or taking stem cuttings in summer or by dividing the plant during autumn, planting them 15-30cm (6-12m) apart. Harvest the leaves at any time and the flowers from early summer. An excellent garden, border, edging, container and conservatory herb.
