  • About
The herb valerian contains the active ingredients valepotriates and esters of acetic, tuyric and isovalerianic acids and the oil contains limonene, sesquiterpene, valerian camphor, alkaloids, chatinine, and tannins.
Use an infusion solely of valerian root to reduce anxiety and tension, making it with one to two teaspoons of the root to a cupful of boiling water, leave it for 10 to 15 minutes and then drink it whenever it is needed. Because of its sedative qualities use this infusion, too, for insomnia. The infusion will also bring some relief in cases of migraine or rheumatism.
