Sweetcorn, on the cob remove leaves and trim the stem. Cook, covered, in boiling water until tender, about 10 minutes, or rub with oil and cook under the grill (broiler) or over a barbecue until tender and slightly charred. Rub with crushed garlic or other flavourings, such as umeboshi plum, for extra flavour.
