Slice off the top and bottom of the oranges' peels, creating a flat surface on both ends.
Resting one orange upright on its now-flat bottom, cut away the peel, slicing from top to bottom along the curvature of the fruit.
Holding the peeled fruit in your hand, cut along both sides of each exposed membrane to free the sections of the fruit, dropping them into the bowl.
