How to Decorate a Cake

A lot can go wrong with the inside of a cake and no one will know the difference if it is well decorated. If the cake is dry, brush it with sugar syrup (ideally flavored with a little brandy or whiskey). If it is lopsided, rotate one of the uneven layers to compensate. If it is a real mess, cover the whole thing with a sheet of colored marzipan and it will look professional. Here are some easy ways to decorate a cake to give it a finished look.
