How to Make Basic Pie and Tart Dough in a Stand Mixer

  • About
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.

  2. Turn the mixer on to its lowest speed, then medium, and mix for a few minutes, until the dough is the consistency of gravel.

  3. Continue to beat for a bit more, or until the dough comes together into a shaggy mass.
