Scientific name: Oncorhynchus kisutch

The Coho salmon is often found off the northern coast of the Pacific Northwest. Coho salmon spend up to 18 months at sea before returning to freshwater to spawn, but unlike other species, they do not migrate far. They are jumpers and dodgers and, thus, are popular with sport fishermen. During spawning, they develop distinctive hooked jaws.
