Sea Bass

Sea bass are part of the Serranidae family, which includes groupers. There are 450 species, all having a “bass-like” appearance: compact, thick bodies with one dorsal fin, large mouths, and a lateral line that extends the entire length of the body to the tail.

They are bottom dwellers, preferring rocks and reefs, and are voracious predators feeding on smaller fish and crustaceans.
