Trout

Trout living in different environments will have dramatically different colorations and patterns. These colors and patterns form a sort of camouflage based on their surroundings and will change if the trout moves to a different habitat. Trout have fins without spines and a fatty fin on their backs, near the tail. Lake trout belong to the char genus and inhabit the larger lakes in North America. Lake trout will live many decades, outliving the rainbow trout, which lives a maximum of seven years.
