Macadamia Nut

These round nuts look rather like big hazelnuts. Hawaii is now the largest exporter, although most of the macadamias sold here come from New South Wales. They have a similar texture to Brazil nuts (although oilier) and candlenuts, and are used mainly in sweet dishes.
