Tempeh

Available from Asian markets, tempeh is an Indonesian variant of beancurd (tofu) which is also used in Malaysia and Singapore. It is rich in protein and forms an edible mould on the surface. It is sold fresh in slabs and deteriorates if frozen. Find out which day it is delivered and then buy that day.
