Being quick and simple to make, fruit crumbles are a classic family dessert. Try using and combining different fruit. Serve crumbles hot, with warm Crème Anglaise.

  1. For a simple crumble topping, rub unsalted butter into plain flour until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Stir in the caster sugar.

  2. Place a layer of fruit in an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with sugar. Repeat until all the fruit and sugar are used. Sprinkle on crumble mixture and bake until golden and crisp.
