For success when shaping these lacy biscuits, they should stand briefly when removed from the oven until firm enough to stay in one piece when lifted off the sheets, yet malleable enough to shape. If they harden before you have time to remove them all from the sheets, simply place them back in the oven for about 30 seconds, which is long enough to soften them again.

Placing the paste Place teaspoonfuls of the biscuit paste well apart on to greased baking sheets, pressing the mixture out slightly into 3 cm circles.
