Young Coconut Water

The opaque juice from the centre of a fresh young coconut – always shake a coconut before buying to make sure it is full of juice. Fresh coconuts are readily available from Asian food stores, greengrocers and larger supermarkets. Young coconut juice is now also sold at specialty juice shops such as Pressed Juices (pressedjuices.com.au) or in Tetra packs at health food stores and supermarkets. (Cocobella is a brand that comes to mind; just be aware this has been sweetened slightly, but makes an acceptable alternative.)
