  • About
A favorite fruit in Cuba for making smoothies, mameys are about the size of a large sweet potato. Their thin skin is rough and brown and resembles sandpaper, but the beautiful salmon-colored flesh is smooth and creamy and has a sweet, delicate, berrylike flavor. The fruit ripens best at room temperature. When ripe, it gives when gently squeezed.
