Ingredients Durum-wheat flour and water.

How Made Spaghetti-shaped factory-made pasta of durum wheat produced in different thicknesses. They are boiled in plenty of salted water.

Also Known As Spaghetti. According to thickness and length, capelli d’angelo, capellini, mezzi spaghetti, spaghettini, vermicellini, and vermicelloni.

How Served As pastasciutta, with traditional local sauces or broken into broth.

Where Found Southern Italy.

Remarks The name, which means literally “little worms,” is the old name for spaghetti and is still widely used in parts of the south.
