  • About
The food court is composed of a common seating area ringed by multiple food outlets and located in a shopping mall. Food court offerings are composed of different fare and cuisines; generally, but not exclusively single item, simplified menus; and fast food or ethnic dining choices. The outlets may be independently owned or operated by chains and are often chosen to fit local décor and tastes and to ensure a wide variety of food offerings. The food court has become a ubiquitous part of the shopping mall experience and is often equated to the new sidewalk café.
