  • About
Three government agencies regulate transgenic organisms in the United States: the Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Each agency oversees a different aspect of biotechnology, although there is some overlap. A product may be regulated by more than one agency.
