  • About
Good & Plenty is an iconic American candy. It was first produced by the Quaker City Confectionery Company in Philadelphia in 1893. The ovoid licorice pieces coated in a pink or white candy shell is believed to be the oldest brand-named candy in the United States, although the name was not trademarked until 1928. Good & Plenty became part of American culture when it was advertised nationally beginning in 1950. Television jingles such as “Choo-Choo Charlie” became favorites with children. The Good & Plenty brand now belongs to the Hershey Company.
