  • About
Mallomars Chocolate Cakes came to market on 13 November 1913 at a grocery store in West Hoboken, New Jersey. The National Biscuit Company described its new addition as “a delightful combination of marshmallow, jelly and layers of cake covered with chocolate icing.” The Mallomars® name was suggested by Nabisco’s advertising manager at the time, A. C. Mace. Before the formal introduction of Mallomars, Nabisco produced the Marshmallow Cream Sandwich, also covered in chocolate, but sold only in bulk.
