  • About
The diversity of products and its high ranking in agriculture production make the Pacific Northwest a special place. In the year 2000 this high-tech territory, especially Washington, ranked number one in the United States in the production of hops, spearmint oil, seed peas, lentils, dry edible peas, apples, hazelnuts, sweet cherries, pears, Concord grapes, processing carrots, sweet corn, and red raspberries. The region also ranks high in production of potatoes, wheat, apricots, tart cherries, prunes, plums, asparagus, strawberries, broccoli, and onions. Among other states, only California comes close.
