  • About

Sauger (Stizostedion canadense) is a fish similar to walleye and walleye pike and has some of the same nicknames, such as jackfish, jack salmon, pike perch, and gray pike. Sauger is smaller than walleye and does not usually grow beyond two to four pounds. Sauger occupies most of the same waters as walleye. Sauger is a game fish and supports a commercial fishery in Canada.
