  • About
The first settlement of Scottish immigrants came to America from all areas of Scotland seeking religious and political freedom. They first settled in Virginia in 1607, and over the years they migrated throughout the United States to rural farm areas. They brought with them their traditions and cuisine, aiming to preserve their Scottish heritage in the New World.
Scottish American cuisine is typically traditional comfort food, ranging from hearty soups to roasted meats, casseroles, breads, and desserts.
