  • About

The Swedish meatball, or köttbulle (pronounced cheutbulle) in Swedish, is the Swedish variation on the historic meatball. The Swedish meatball is prepared in one of two ways, either solely with ground beef or with a mixture of ground beef, pork, and even occasionally veal. This concoction of beef is then mixed with breadcrumbs that have been soaked in milk, finely chopped onions, a bit of broth, and sometimes finished off with cream. To season the meatballs, usually salt and either allspice or white pepper is used.
