A machine with a heavy motor encased in a plastic or metal housing with a detachable bowl and cover and various blades with specific functions. The food processor can chop, blend, mix, purée, knead, grate, slice, and julienne. The machine processes best when the bowl is filled to half its capacity, and it will work only when all the pieces are properly aligned.
