Chard/Swiss chard/ruby chard - known in NZ and Australia as silverbeet. Chard is a type of ‘green’ vegetable, with a white stem and green leaves. However, ruby chard has a mixture of red and green colouring and is generally small-leaved and used in salads rather than cooking as a vegetable.
