  • About

Quince - a type of fruit, often called a relative of the pear (I don’t think it can be more than a distant second cousin though). Quince always need to be cooked - they take about 90 minutes or more. They have a thick perfumed aroma, with a slightly grainy pear texture. Membrillo is made from quince that have been cooked with a lot of sugar.
