Iโ€™m always amused by recipes that call for peeling winter squash, especially acorn squash or other squashes with an irregular peel that make peeling impossible. If you have a recipe that calls for squash, cook the squash first in the microwave, just long enough to allow you to pull off the peel, usually about 10 minutes, or in the oven for about 50 minutes.
