If you went out and bought one of those pint (10-ounce) [285-g] containers of pearl onions, you’re liable to regret it once you start peeling. To make peeling easier, plunge the onions in a pot of boiling water for about 30 seconds, drain them in a colander, and rinse with cold water. The peels will come off much more easily.
