Bring a deep saucepan of water to a boil and carefully add the eggs. Adjust the heat to a gentle boil and cook, uncovered, for 7 minutes. Set the pan aside and allow the eggs and water to cool a bit, about 5 minutes. Drain the eggs and place them in a bowl of cold water. Crack each egg completely, starting on the rounded end and peel under cold running water.
