Chopped, Diced, or Minced Foods

Chopped = ¼-inch cubes
Diced = ⅛-inch cubes
Minced = 1/16-inch cubes

Carrots. Rather than peeling carrots from top to bottom, do the lower half first then turn carrot upside down and peel the top half, or vice versa. In this way fingernails and polish are not damaged.

Once a carrot is peeled, trim off top and bottom. Slice in half the long way and place cut side down on chopping board. Cut in horizontal slices, if carrot is thick; then cut in strips the length of the carrot and then cut across these two cuts into pieces of the size desired.
