Mostly British, supplemented with imports from Europe and America. The tiny young ones sold with their feathery tops still attached are particularly delectable. One novelty variety available sometimes in spring is the round Parisian carrot.
Carrots are one of the few products for which organically grown varieties taste appreciably better than non-organic. Frozen and tinned are both hopeless.
