Yard-Long Bean

Vigna sinensis sesquipedalis; kacang panjang. These green beans, when cut up, somewhat resemble French beans, but they do in fact grow to as much as a yard (90 cm) long. They can be bought in Thai and other Oriental shops, usually coiled up like lengths of green rope.
