Matcha is a finely ground powder made from green tea leaves specifically produced for this purpose. It is becoming very popular and was recently classified as a superfood. Matcha is widely used in traditional and modern Japanese sweets and puddings, and even in soba noodles.
Once opened, matcha should be properly sealed and refrigerated.
