Making a Paper Piping Cone

Appears in

By Anne Willan

Published 1989

  • About
Disposable paper cones are useful when several piping tubes or different colors of icing are being employed at once. The cone can also be used without a piping tube for plain writing.
  1. Fold an 8 x 14 in/20 x 35 cm rectangle in half diagonally and cut along the fold.

  2. Fold the short side of one triangle over to the right-angled corner to form a cone.

  3. Holding the cone together with one hand, wrap the long point of the triangle around the paper cone.

  4. Tuck the point of paper inside the cone to secure it. (Repeat with the second triangle for a second cone.)
