Below each plain vegetable recipe I have indicated a meat that would blend particularly well with the combination, as well as a grain you can cook besides. By mixing all three, you can obtain a “center of the plate” mixture for good nutrition. Stir-fry the meat in a frying pan as soon as the vegetables are done and add it and the precooked and hot grain or pasta. See for a more detailed discussion of stir-frying meats.
