  • About
A system of traditional medicine that originated in India. In Ayurveda the balance in the body between opposites—hot and cold, acid and base—is maintained by eating appropriate foods and is considered the basis of good health. Ayurvedic ideas spread from India to become the basis of other traditional medicine systems, including the Tibetan and the Chinese.
