Dosas are flatbreads made of a fermented batter cooked on a griddle; they look like large buckwheat crepes. Originally from southern India, dosas can now be found in many places in the Subcontinent, as street food or in restaurants. Most commonly the batter is made of soaked rice and urad dal.
