Naan

Also transcribed nan or non, naan is the Central Asian word for “bread.” In South Asia, it has come to mean the leavened tandoor-baked flatbreads that evolved from the breads brought to the Subcontinent by the Moghuls. See Home-Style Tandoor Naan.
