Parsi

A distinct community of people descended from refugees from Persia (Iran) who came to the Subcontinent about ten centuries ago. They settled in Gujarat and then in the Mumbai (Bombay) area. Their religion is Zoroastrianism. Their food is generally mild and subtle, with Persian and Gujarati elements. See for more information and the Index for recipes.
