  • About
This is the classic shape used for wine made from grapes grown in the Bordeaux area. Traditionally, these wines were intended for long ageing in the cellar, during which time a deposit would collect in the bottle. The square shoulders help to catch the deposit when pouring the wine, leaving any deposit behind in the bottle. This shape is also used for Bordeaux white wines.
