We tend not to serve red wine on warm days, but it can be delicious served cold. You could make a Spritzer, or serve sparkling red wine. It should, like all sparkling wine, be served ice-cold. Use good quality light red wine for making a chilled drink, and consider using a sparkling red wine. When heating red wine, choose a full-bodied red that will complement the addition of fruit and spices. Spicing red wine disguises its faults, and will improve the flavour of an average wine.
