  • About
Armagnac country lies buried in Gascony, well south of Bordeaux. Whereas cognac is dominated by large companies such as Martell and Camus, Armagnac is a complex jigsaw of small estates, many of which bottle and market their own brandies. Moreover, there is a long tradition in Armagnac of vintage brandies, which may not be sold until they are at least ten years old.

CHOOSING GLASSWARE To fully appreciate the complex flavours of a good brandy, use a tulip-shaped glass to capture the aroma, rather than a traditional brandy glass.
