These are the two ingredients that I would recommend to anyone who is starting to use spices. They have a wonderful flavour, they work beautifully together and can be used in many types of cuisines. Have both ground cumin and the seeds to hand, so that you can use the seeds as a base in hot oil to flavour a dish and add some texture.
