One of the easiest solutions to the problem of clean-up would be to rely on disposable baking pans, dishes, and utensils. However, this is ecologically irresponsible as well as expensive.
The one disposable item I do make use of is the makeshift roasting rack I fashion out of foil. However, in order to make this item ecologically sound, I only use foil that has already been used once.
Before you get down to the business of sudsing and washing, with a rubber spatula, first scrape particles of congealed food off of cutting boards and utensils, skillets, pots and pans, and dinner dishes. This will make the work of washing up a lot easier as well as keep your drain from getting clogged with stray bits of food.
