Penfield, Wilder Graves (1891–1976)

Canadian neurosurgeon who was the first to represent the connection between the sensory parts of the body and the loci and extent of the areas where sensory perceptions are registered in the brain. He did this with a picture that resembled a small man, called a homunculus.
