Agridulce

Sour and sweet. Refers to the juxtaposition of sweet ingredients and something sour in a dish, like sweet carrots and dried fruit with vinegar. Also describes a type of Spanish paprika that has counterpointing notes and is most commonly found in the national sausage — chorizo.
