Hygrocybe vitellina (Fr.) P. Karst syn. Hygrophorus vitellinus Fr. (illustrated 90% life size) Cap 1–2cm across, convex, soon expanding and often slightly depressed; bright yellow, margin often striate. Stem 10–35×1–3mm; concolorous with cap. Flesh yellow; thin; taste none, smell delicate, slightly perfumed. Gills decurrent; bright yellow. Spores 6–8×4.5–5¼, elliptical-ovoid Spore print white. Habitat amongst damp moss; late summer to autumn. Occasional. Unknown edibility.
